Privacy Policy

This policy describes how FormRoute LLC ("we," "us") handles information collected through 990autopilot.com and the 990 Autopilot service.

1. What we collect

Filing information you provide: organization legal name, DBA, EIN, mailing address, fiscal year end, principal officer name and title, organization website, and your contact email — the items required for IRS Form 990-N. A 990-N involves no Social Security numbers, and your organization's EIN and registration details are already public in IRS records.
Filing history: what was filed, when, and the IRS acceptance record — kept so you have a complete record and so annual filings can continue.
Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's handling is governed by its own privacy policy.
Basic technical data: standard web server and analytics information such as pages visited and approximate location, used to keep the site working and understand usage.

2. How we use it

We use filing information for exactly one purpose: preparing and transmitting your organization's Form 990-N through an IRS-authorized e-file provider and delivering the acceptance record to you. Your email address is used for service communications — reminders, annual confirmations, acceptance records, and renewal notices. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

The IRS, as part of your Form 990-N submission — that is the point of the Service.
Our IRS-authorized e-file transmission provider, which processes the filing data solely to transmit it to the IRS.
Stripe, for subscription billing.
Service infrastructure providers (such as email delivery), bound to use data only to provide their service to us.
Authorities, if required by law.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep filing information and filing history while your subscription is active, and afterwards for as long as needed to document filings that were made on your behalf. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by emailing support; we will delete what we are not required to retain as a record of completed filings.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to what operating the Service requires. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but the information involved in a 990-N is limited by design and contains no financial account numbers or SSNs.

6. Your choices

You can review and update your organization's information from any annual confirmation email or by contacting support. You can cancel the subscription at any time (see our Terms of Service). Service emails tied to an active subscription — reminders and filing notices — are part of the Service itself; marketing emails, if any, always include an unsubscribe link.

7. Children

The Service is for organizations and their authorized officers, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
